House Passes Stupak Amendment and Health Care Bill

In the final hours of negotiating the House Health Care Bill, the Stupak amendment, which was fully supported by the USCCB, was passed. Bishop William Murphy and Cardinal Justin Rigali wrote a letter to the House of Representatives thanking them for the addition of this ammendment while also cautioning that the rights of immigrants also need to be addressed.
